Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha with Nani as lead and Hanu Raghawapudi as director was been in news for all the good reasons like Nani's movie after block buster success of BBM, innovative posters , teasers,very good trailer, big production house, good director. With all these factors, these movie generated tremendous hype around it. Let see if the movie lived up to the expectations
KGVPG is basically a love story with rayalaseema faction backdrop. Krishna and Mahalakshmi were in love since childhood but they never express their feelings towards each other because both of them are scared about their parents. After so many years, one fine day Krishna decide to let Mahalakshmi's brother about there love which will force him to end up in faction fights. Entire movie is all about how Krishna being a very timid guy saves few kids from villians for his love.
Rayalaseema faction is just a backdrop but director never went overboard which we are used to see in this backdrop. Screenplay technique used is very innovative and interesting. On a whole director did a very good job in first half and decent job in second half . Although second is a bit drag and slow at times, director made amendments with climax for minor glitches in second half
Coming to acting, Nani did a very good job, be it in romantic scenes with Mehreen , comedy scenes with Sathyam Rajesh , brahmaji and kids, action scenes, He just excelled in all the departments
Mehreen looks very good and is a decent performer. She is a perfect choice by director for the role
Among others Sathyam Rajesh got a meaty role and he is excelled in it. Brahmaji, Murali sharma, Prithvi , Sampath are adequate.
Special mention to the kids in the movie. All of them are very cute and scenes with them are a laugh riot
Music is not up to the mark. Couple of songs are pictured brilliantly and back ground score is decent. Cinematography is very good which shows the rayalaseema back drop in a rugged way.Production values of 14 reels production is good
First half of the movie is very good and second half is ok
On a whole, can watch this movie for Nani, brilliant direction in first half, kids and Sathyam Rajesh. Would have been much better with good songs.
